German Occupational Safety and Health Award
The competition for the German Occupational Safety and Health Award is part of the Joint German Occupational Safety and Health Strategy and is organised jointly by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the Committee of the Laender for Occupational Safety and Health and the German Social Accident Insurance.
The aim of the German Occupational Safety and Health Award is to publicise particularly efficient and innovative occupational safety and health measures and present them to the public as good examples. The award is conferred on companies which show a particularly high degree of commitment to safety and health at work. As concrete examples from company practice, they are intended to clearly show that innovative and long-term occupational safety and health measures increase competitiveness and therefore create a distinct added value both for the workers and the company. The competition is aimed at companies of all sizes, branches of industry and legal forms, at company associations as well as individuals.
